CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
All levels are welcome in every class at Westside Yoga Atlanta! 


PRIVATE LESSONS ARE AVAILABLE AT CONVENIENT TIMES, EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK!

BASICS
classes are a small group yoga lesson, focused on the fundamentals of yoga. Class includes a great workout, with a focus on breathing techniques, pose alignment, and meditation. This class is similar to ENERGIZE, but with more alignment guidance. Class ends with a blissful meditation. You will leave feeling stronger, with a better understanding of the art and science of yoga. Excellent for beginners, and a great refresher for experienced students. (60 minutes)

BURN
classes are a fitness-focused power yoga practice, that bring the body back into balance with strength-building postures, breath work, and a closing meditation. This class is held community-style, with students lifting each other up with positive energy and commitment to breathing fully throughout the class. Class ends with a blissful silent meditation. Expect to leave class feeling stronger and refreshed. Beginners welcome and modifications are offered for every level. (60 minutes) 

ENERGIZE
classes are a community-style practice, with the intention of balancing prana (energy) in the body with an invigorating flow. Class includes breathing and gazing techniques strengthen your body and mind, and ends with a blissful meditation. You will renew your energy. You will have fun getting fit. Beginners are welcome, and modifications are offered for every level. (60 minutes)

​FLEX classes are excellent for athletes, and anyone who wants to increase their flexibility! Classes are focused on creating space in problem areas, especially hips, hamstrings, psoas, and shoulders. Students should see improved flexibility within 5-10 classes. Class ends with a blissful meditation. (60 minutes)

FLOW
classes are our most popular class! These community-style classes bring the body back into balance with mindful vinyasa flow, yin stretches, breathing exercises, and meditation. You will leave this class feeling balanced and at peace. Excellent for beginners as well as advanced students. (60 minutes) 

MEDITATE
classes are for everyone who wants to learn how to meditate with ease.  Movement, breathwork, and mindfulness are combined to help students reduce stress, and connect with their innate bliss. All levels are invited to explore the practice of meditation in these sessions--excellent for beginners and experienced yogis. Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat. (45 minutes)

RESTORE
classes relax the mind, body and spirit with a light vinyasa flow, restorative postures, and a nice long mediation at the end of class. Class ends with a nice long meditation. Excellent for beginners as well as advanced students. (60 minutes)

STRONG
classes build strength in the body, mind, and spirit with longer holds, and challenging sequences. This class is excellent for those who want to build muscle and/or lose weight. Class ends with a blissful meditation. Expect to leave class feeling empowered and happy. Similar to BURN, but with more focus on advanced postures. Modifications are offered for every level. (60 minutes)
